In 2009, in a new initiative for the Management School, we established a consultancy service led by the postgraduate student population. The aim of this service is to provide local organisations with consultancy support where possible at a low cost or free of charge.
We believe there are two important aspects to this service. First, we are sure that the work will help to embed in the learning environment of students, opportunities to develop their practical skills in a real world situation and enhance their chances of employment following their graduation. Second, we hope to demonstrate to local practitioners the capabilities of our student population, by assisting in improving the efficiency and management of local organisations. These are important aspects of the Liverpool postgraduate experience.
It is our intention to ensure that the student-led consultancy service will provide basic diagnostics for local organisations whether they are new technology enterprises, innovative enterprises, social enterprises or organisations from the voluntary sector or public sector.
As all work is scrutinised by academics within the School who are experts within their own particular field, and who are able to advise the students on the development of their consultancy work, we believe that we can offer this service to a wide range of organisations.More Details links.....
